IDCheck
New Requirement for
Shared Branching users
with out of state IDs.
Effective May 1, 2025
We are a proud member of the CO-OP Shared Branching Network which allows our members to use over 5,700 credit union locations nationwide. A valid photo ID has always been required, however, if your ID is from a state other than Maine, you will now be required to take additional steps to confirm your identity through a new IDCheck process.

With account takeover fraud on the rise, a new ID-proofing security has been added when accessing your account at ANY Shared Branch location, nationwide when presenting an out of state ID. This new fraud prevention measure allows us to make certain it’s YOU trying to access your account, not an imposter.
This additional layer of verification will be used for cash or check withdrawals.
