Should I talk to a financial counselor?

  • Do you have a poor credit score that you’d like to increase?
  • Do you have financial stress that you don’t know how to handle?
  • Do you have long-term goals for yourself that you’re not sure how to achieve?
  • Do you want help planning for retirement?
  • Do you want to better understand your financial potential?

If you answered YES to any of the above questions, you would benefit greatly from financial counseling.

Common Questions

Is there any cost to the financial counseling?

No. One of the ways we are putting “Members First” is to offer free financial counseling. There is no cost to you and there are no products to buy. The service is offered solely to help our members improve their financial future.

Can a financial counselor give investment advice?

The short answer is no. Our counselors can help explain how different investments work, but they cannot make specific stock or investment recommendations.

What should I prepare for my counseling meeting?

To help your counselor better facilitate your meeting, we recommend you have a recent pay stub and a list of your current debt/current bills.
